About Sandy Agrafiotis
I have worked for over 30 years in many areas of commercial photography including editorial, coporate and industrial. My greatest interest - and my specialty for 15 years - is architectural photography. I love my work and approach each new project with enthusiasm.
I enjoy the process of collaborating with a client to determine how best to depict a project. A digital camera tethered to a laptop facilitates exact assessment of an image on site and allows my clients to participate in the progress of a shot as refinements are made.
My move from large format film cameras to digital equipment occurred when I became convinced that digital photography allows greater productivity and image control. The use of tilt/shift lenses give digital cameras the perspective adjustments characteristic of 4x5 cameras without their ponderous operations. Now I can complete a greater number of shots in a day.
I hire, as needed, experienced free-lancers for on-site and post-production assistance. Therefore I can produce the highest-quality photography without the overhead costs necessitated by a studio and staff. Without full-time employees, I can adjust my schedule to photograph each project when weather and light conditions are best for the subject. Shooting at the right time is an important starting point for a project.
